Mayur - The South Asian Student Alliance, Carnegie Mellon’s largest South Asian organization, is a highly-active, non-profit organization that sponsors and organizes various social, philanthropic and cultural activities for students. Mayur SASA reaches out not only to the South Asian community, but also strives to promote unity, diversity, and interest in the South Asian culture

by reaching out to students of other nations and cultures. Our events cater to a variety of interests and motivations and thus attempt to attract all of the student body. Annually we host and participate in four to five of Carnegie Mellon's Biggest Events: Bhangra in the Burgh, The Mayur Show, CMU Booth and Diwali and Eid Celebrations.

Partner Organizations

Mayur SASA partners with various organizations through the year to host spectacular events.

Bhangra in the Burgh

Mayur SASA hosts a large number of student run events on campus, nearly three to four every month on average. Events are run by the Executive Board, General Body Members or Members of our Freshman Committee.
